Process Flow

1. Raw material handling

Wash the selected astragalus roots to remove the mud, sand and other impurities. Then, the material is sliced or crushed to facilitate the subsequent extraction process.

2. Extract

The ultrasonic counter-current extraction method is the organic combination of ultrasonic extraction technology and continuous counter-current leaching technology. On the one hand, ultrasonic extraction accelerates the movement of medium particles, the cavitation effect and the homogenizing effect of ultrasonic vibration shorten the extraction time and increase the yield of the product. On the other hand, by adopting the continuous countercurrent extraction process, the solvent and the medicinal slices are added separately from both ends of the equipment. The medicinal slices and the solvent are added in a countercurrent manner, and the concentrations gradually change, ensuring that the liquid is fully mixed. The entire process features high extraction efficiency and fast extraction speed.

3. Filtration

The extract can be filtered through a filter to remove impurities and residues, and this process can be repeated.

4. Concentration

The filtered extract solution was subjected to vacuum concentration to remove most of the solvents, resulting in a concentrated extract of astragalus. And the concentrated liquid was purified to obtain a highly pure extract of astragalus.

5. Dry

The purified astragalus extract was subjected to vacuum drying process to remove residual moisture.

6. Packing

The final processed astragalus extract will be packaged in the pre-packaging workshop for easier sales and transportation. The packaging should comply with relevant regulations and standards to ensure the quality and safety of the finished products.
